Exotic Amaryllis tapestry in jacquard weave, 19th-century motif after Joseph Fuchs.

Exotic Amaryllis tapestry in jacquard weave, 19th-century motif after Joseph Fuchs.

From a wallpaper of the 19th century, this tapestry is inspired from a panoramic by Joseph Fusch painted in 1861 and called "Eden". This very large painting represents a beautiful tropical forest. It enabled the new "Bourgeoisie" to "travel" to imaginary countries while, at the same time, decorating their homes.

This tapestry is woven in jacquard weaving by the Jules Pansu workshops located in the northern France.
